Drink This!
The scene was set for a family Memorial Day in the backyard…sun, swimming, badminton, BBQ, and of course wine! Besides a delicious menu full of fantastic foods, our 2009 Flying Goat Pinot Noir Rio Vista Vineyard Dijon was an excellent bottle to compliment. One whiff in the glass and you can instantly imagine that you’re in a spectacular wine country setting. Ahhh…instant relaxation!
The nose of this wine boasts plums, spice, earth and that undeniable “pinot noir perfume.” On the palate, a good depth of dark berries, cola, spice and lavender with good balance and acid. This wine’s energy just makes you happy!
In fact, every Pinot Noir we’ve had from Flying Goat has been outstanding! You cannot go wrong with these guys. Winemaker and proprietor Norm Yost is producing some superb Pinot Noir from AVA’s such as Santa Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valley. He even makes some really nice bubbles too!
Thanks Flying Goat for making our Memorial Day one to remember. If you ever have the chance to explore the trails near Lompoc, be sure to visit Flying Goat Cellars!
Cheers!
