If you’re looking for a unique way to lodge in wine country, then The Cottages of Napa Valley is for you. Just located off Highway 29 between Napa and Yountville, nestled among large redwoods and towering pines, it is the perfect romantic getaway. They offer modern amenities with a very rustic feel. The property itself hosts just 8 cottages, all charming and colorfully painted. The cottages encircle the beautiful gardens and landscape in the center which creates an almost “camp-ground” like setting.

Each cottage is furnished with a very comfortable king-size bed, a well-equipped kitchen, fireplace, large soaking tub, heated tile floors in the bathroom and even your own private outdoor patio with a fire-pit to roast s’mores on in the evening. The attention to detail here is impeccable! We enjoyed relaxing and listening to some of our favorite music on the Bose Music System that was in our cottage. The French press for our coffee provided in the kitchen was a nice surprise too. It went along perfectly with the basket of Bouchon Bakery baked goods and newspaper that was delivered to our doorstep each morning. With a start like this to your day, it’s almost hard to want to venture out.

The staff at The Cottages are very accommodating. From dinner reservations to scheduling a massage in your room, to providing dinner transportation in the evening to and from nearby restaurants, they’ve got you covered. The concierge staff here will even map out a day of wine tasting for you and chauffeur you for the day. There is an additional fee for this service, but a great way to experience wine country.

Since we were here celebrating our anniversary, we thought we might as well go all out and splurge with a couples massage in our cottage. We can’t tell you enough how AMAZING it was! Not only was it relaxing and so peaceful being in our own room, the massage itself to this day we still say, “was the best we’ve ever had!” We would highly recommend this service while staying at The Cottages. You will be happy you did!

The Cottages often offer great package deals which include dinner at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc Restaurant, wine tasting at a local winery and of course the delicious pastries from Bouchon for breakfast. Comforting…intimate…secluded…luxury…and very cozy are words that come to mind when we think about our stay at The Cottages of Napa Valley. Staying here is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
