We’ve been enjoying Dierberg wines for many years now. Recently, while exploring the Santa Rita Hills Wine Trail we stopped in Dierberg & Star Lane Vineyard winery. When you drive up Drum Canyon Road off Highway 246, you can’t help but notice the huge green barn ahead, just begging you to come in! You can enjoy your wine tasting inside the big barn, outside at one of the many tables or even wander around the cactus garden with wine in hand. A cool and interesting experience for us was tasting the actual grapes of the Pinot we were sampling…grown right across the street! We’ve traditionally only drank Dierberg’s Pinot Noir’s, but we were also impressed with their Chardonnay on this visit. We recommend buying the super clean 2009 Dierberg Chardonnay Santa Maria Valley $32…we did!
